Alex Peters
Co-Founder and Co-CEO - Prodigy Education University of Waterloo: Bachelors of Applied Sciences, Honors Mechatronics Engineering, Managing Sciences Option. Alex, following in his entrepreneurial father’s steps co-created the business plan for the Prodigy game during his 4th term at the University of Waterloo. Through supportive communities such as personal families, and U of Waterloo's entrepreneurship network Alex felt confident that they could succeed in an otherwise disheartening market. Alex's motivation comes as he reflected on math views within himself, family and society. He saw the ease and joy he experienced and compared it to others. He noticed how math grew to be a dismissible/ too challenging subject with little to no support within the early academic field. Moving forward Alex's main goal is to offer an equitable mathematical understanding for youth. He believes with a strong foundational sense of numeracy anything is possible. |
